This is a great place to start your search for information

Search engines are a fine place to start a search of the Internet, but often the results are unsatisfactory. Besides, the Internet isn't the only place to find information. Our library has gathered together some great resources for you to use to find the information you need.

  • Use Iowa Locator or WorldCat to find books, CDs, DVDs and other items in libraries
  • Use HealthInfoIowa to start your search for health information
  • Use Chilton Auto Repair & Maintenance to find information on car repair and even estimates for specific car repair items so you can compare with the estimates from your local garage.
  • Use Gale Resources to find Health & Wellness Resource information, help with kids homework, home improvement resources, millions of articles that cover a full range of academic and general interest topics and much more.
  • Use NoveList Plus and Books & Authors Readers Advisory to help find your next "good read".  They offer great suggestions for future books based on the books you have read and loved.
  • Use Digital Magazines to read over 200 titles of current popular magazines.

The subject guides give you a great place to find information on travel, sports, consumer goods and more.

Iowa Heritage Project and Iowa Publications Online can help you dig deep into all things Iowa.

Use the links at the left to find the information you need.
