Who We Are
The Harlan Community Library Foundation Board is entirely supported on a volunteer basis. The current board members are:

Supporting the Harlan Community Library
It is the mission of the Foundation to encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests to the library and to support the development of library services and facilities for the community.
It is the intent of the founding members of the Foundation that accrued interest from the fund be spent for these purposes on a yearly basis, while the principal be retained as an investment for the benefit of future generations. All future contributions to the Foundation will ordinarily be considered as principal, although this may be subject to special limitations which may be attached to specific gifts. The Foundation is a 501c3 not for profit organization.
Building Our Community
In the past five years, the Foundation has financially supported a wide variety of projects including:
- Annual Scholarship Program
- New Library Furniture Purchase
- Patron Computers and Software
- Library Security Cameras
