Adopt An Author

Adopt an Author.png

Support the library by purchasing your favorite author's book through the library at a discount.

Perks:

  1. The patron who “adopts” an author or a book will have first right to read the book once it is available for circulation.
  2. If an author writes multiple series, you can choose if you want to adopt a particular series instead.
  3. Some authors can be adopted in Large Print format.

Please Note:

  • The library director, or designee, has the discretion to approve or deny all “adopted” items.
  • Once an author or an item is approved to be added to the library’s collection, the patron will pay the library for the cost of each book.  The monies will be deposited into the Library’s trust account and then funds will be withdrawn at the time the library pays for the book.
  • Books that are no longer relevant to the library, may be removed by the Library Director, or designated library staff.
  • No special privileges will be afforded to the purchaser of the book, except the opportunity to be the first to read the purchased book.

A sampling of available authors for adoption include:

Mary Higgins Clark, Patricia Cornwell, John Grisham, Jonathan Kellerman, Stephen King, Dean R. Koontz, Sarah J. Maas, Robert B. Parker, James Patterson, Danielle Steel, or Stuart Woods
